SANT JORDI by RAVAL
In Barcelona, Sant Jordi isn’t about perfect fairytales. It’s about crowded
streets, stacks of books and roses changing hands. But it all starts much earlier.
The legend says a dragon was terrorizing a village until Sant Jordi appeared, killed it, and from the dragon’s blood, a rose grew. He gave that rose to the princess.
And that’s how the gesture stayed: giving a rose as a symbol of love, of life, of beauty that can grow even from something wild. Sant Jordi is usually all about the roses. But it’s also about the city, the people, and the real stories behind them.
In Raval, Sant Jordi isn’t just a date, it’s the perfect excuse to do what we do best: mix disciplines, people, and neighborhood energy..
This year, we decided to take that idea one step further by collaborating with talents and spaces that share our way of seeing the world: unfiltered, with soul, and full of character to recreate Sant Jordi's rose.
