HOW WE MAKE OUR GLASSES
We work exclusively with high-quality cellulose acetates.
We use acetate sheets from Mazzucchelli 1849 and Laes, two of the most prestigious Italian manufacturers worldwide. Their cellulose acetate, made from cotton and wood pulp, stands out for its natural shine, flexibility, and long-lasting shape retention.
We also work with Laes, another top-tier European producer, which helps us maintain consistent quality and expand our color palette.
Every model is designed in Barcelona with function, style, and timelessness in mind.
From Italy, the acetate sheets travel to our workshops in Barcelona, Italy and Hong Kong, where the designs are brought to life and assembled. Barcelona is our creative core: we define every detail, test combinations, oversee finishes, and shape the look that defines us.
In Hong Kong, we work with specialized technicians who master high-precision assembly. They fit components like our 5-barrel hinges, way more durable than the standard ones. These hinges add strength, stability, and long-term reliability.
We use CR-39 organic lenses, a lightweight and highly transparent polymer used in professional optics.
This material not only enhances visual quality but is also more impact-resistant than regular glass, and way more comfortable thanks to its light weight.
All our lenses come with an anti-reflective coating to reduce glare, and our prescription lenses include a blue light filter, perfect for those who spend long hours in front of screens.
Where you really see the craftsmanship is in the small details.
Our glasses feature “cores” (the internal metal structures reinforcing the temples) with custom embossing. The engraving on the temples is also unique: it’s cut from a metal sheet, precisely embedded into the acetate, and sealed with an epoxy resin layer that protects it and gives it a smooth, glossy, permanent finish.
